The Personal Protection Officer will be responsible for providing personal security services for company personnel VIP’s and visiting dignitaries.
Specific job responsibilities will include:
• Operating a motor vehicle to provide both mobile and static surveillance.
• Responding to and investigating security alarms.
• Operation of security communications equipment.
• Maintaining detailed records logs and note books.
• Conducting investigations and completing incident reports.
• Conducting ongoing risk assessments.
• Other duties as required.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
• Previous experience and/or education in personal protection or in the law enforcement field.
• The proven ability to adapt and problem solve.
• Must possess a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Initiative and the ability to work well independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and of good character.
• Must pass required security clearance and background checks.
• Excellent communication skills that include speaking, writing and reading.
• Must have a valid class 5 drivers license.
• Previous training and/or experience in personal/VIP security services is a definite asset for the position.
