Hi, My name is Melissa and I am looking for two friendly, easy going people to share the 3-bedroom house (main floor) I am currently renting. My ideal roommates will have hobbies and interests in traveling, photography, art, independent music, enjoying the outdoors, and staying healthy. Rock climbers, mountain bikers, yoga practitioners, artists, chefs, and skateboarders - I would love to meet you!
Things that are important to me: I have cats, so my roommates need to be cool with sharing their space with animals that sleep 90% of the time and may occasionally want to cuddle. I am also a grad student, meaning the house should have a peaceful vibe. I recycle and compost and expect my roommates to do the same. I'm also really clean and organized, my roommates should be likewise.
The house is fully furnished, all you need to bring is your bed and food. (Photos are pre-move in). If you are bringing more than just bedroom furniture, there is plenty of room in the common areas and in storage. Kick back this summer in our massive backyard - BBQ, fire pit, patio furniture, and garden plot all for your enjoyment. The house is newly painted and was renovated in the '90s meaning - dishwasher! Free laundry in the basement, wireless internet throughout the house. Parking is shared garage, gravel pad, or on-street. Bike storage in the garage or shed. I have a nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Situated one block from 4 major bus routes that will take you to just about any campus in Edmonton...15 minute bus ride to the UofA on a direct route. The house is 2 blocks from Bonnie Doon Mall, a 10-minute walk to the Faculte Ste. Jean, walking distance to many neighborhood pubs, doggy park, lots of funky little eateries and many types of medical services. The room for rent is really nice, clean, airy and furnished. It includes full digital TV (small TV included with DVD player) and high-speed wireless internet in the room. Some long distance included and I can upgrade my package for you if necessary. The security deposit is $400 and the rent is $675, this includes ALL utilities. I have a dog (big dog, Rhodesian Ridgeback and Bullmastif cross), and a cat. I may be able to accommodate another dog, but my cat won't allow another kitty in the house. I am an easy going 52 year old woman, looking for someone who isn't a heavy drinker/partier and a NON drug user. I do expect someone who is willing to help out around the house and who picks up after him/herself. There is a large back yard, patio, furniture, gardens, fire pit, etc. Large double garage is available for parking and/or storage and is included in the rent. I don't mind guests on the weekends to enjoy the outdoor amenities. I prefer no overnight guests as I rarely have them but am the type of person who would rather have someone snoring on my couch than driving home intoxicated. I would prefer a female or international student but I won't say no to someone that I feel would be a great roommate. I normally party only on a Friday or Saturday night outside on the patio and you are welcome to join us or have your own friends over.
