I have a nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Situated one block from 4 major bus routes that will take you to just about any campus in Edmonton...15 minute bus ride to the UofA on a direct route. The house is 2 blocks from Bonnie Doon Mall, a 10-minute walk to the Faculte Ste. Jean, walking distance to many neighborhood pubs, doggy park, lots of funky little eateries and many types of medical services. The room for rent is really nice, clean, airy and furnished. It includes full digital TV (small TV included with DVD player) and high-speed wireless internet in the room. Some long distance included and I can upgrade my package for you if necessary. The security deposit is $400 and the rent is $675, this includes ALL utilities. I have a dog (big dog, Rhodesian Ridgeback and Bullmastif cross), and a cat. I may be able to accommodate another dog, but my cat won't allow another kitty in the house. I am an easy going 52 year old woman, looking for someone who isn't a heavy drinker/partier and a NON drug user. I do expect someone who is willing to help out around the house and who picks up after him/herself. There is a large back yard, patio, furniture, gardens, fire pit, etc. Large double garage is available for parking and/or storage and is included in the rent. I don't mind guests on the weekends to enjoy the outdoor amenities. I prefer no overnight guests as I rarely have them but am the type of person who would rather have someone snoring on my couch than driving home intoxicated. I would prefer a female or international student but I won't say no to someone that I feel would be a great roommate. I normally party only on a Friday or Saturday night outside on the patio and you are welcome to join us or have your own friends over. Use of all household amenities is included, laundry, yard, barbecue, home theatre, etc. Got lots of movies, great music, tons of rare books and collectibles that I sell on the internet and you are welcome to do some reading if you like. I have veggie, flower and perennial gardens, strawberries, apples, cherries and black currants growing on the property and I do a lot of preserving and canning in the fall and late summer. I knit, watch movies, garden, hang out with my dog, read, and volunteer bartend at the Folk Fest and the Blues Fest.
